Over 110 people from across the Southeast gathered at the Federation of Southern Cooperatives’ Rural Research & Training Center to develop cooperative businesses that will serve needs in their communities. Thanks to everyone who organized, sponsored and attended the event, making it our most successful program yet! We are looking forward to CoopEcon 2018 happening in Epes, Alabama April 20-22, 2018!

2018 California Co-op Conference

Taking place in Manchester on the 1-2 May 2018, our Co-operative Education and Research Conference 2018: Skills for co-operators in the 21st century aims to explore what ‘learning to do and learning to be’ look like in contemporary times. We provide a forum for exciting discussions and debates around what makes modern co-operation more relevant than ever before to create a just world.

Fearless Cities – North America 2018

We are excited to announce the first ever North American municipalist summit, which will happen in New York City July 27 - 29, 2018

Co-sponsored by Cooperation Jackson, Movement NetLab and the Metropolitan Studies Department at NYU this regional Fearless Cities will include comprehensive participation from Canada, the United States and Mexico and will be rooted in the international network coalesced by last year’s Fearless Cities international summit.

Who Owns the World? The State of Platform Cooperativism

Celebrating ten years of digital labor conferences at The New School, Who Owns the World? The State of Platform Cooperativism is the most international gathering of its kind. Following our 2018 conference in Hong Kong, this much-needed event summons scholars and founders of platform cooperatives — businesses that use a website, mobile app, or protocol to sell goods or services while relying on democratic decision-making and shared ownership of the platform by workers and users.
