The second FfD Forum will be convened by the President of ECOSOC from 22 to 25 May 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The 4th World Forum of Local Economic Development (LED) will be held at Praia, Cabo Verde, from October 17 to 20, 2017. After previous meetings in Seville, Spain (2011), in Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) in 2013 and in 2015 in Turin, Italy. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Local Economic Development as a comprehensive framework to localize the Sustainable Development Goals: addressing rising inequalities“.

The 2018 People's State of the Union will take place from January 25-February 4, 2018.

The Ninth Session of the World Urban Forum will be the first session to focus on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda adopted in Habitat III. WUF9 will be instrumental to substantively feed into the inputs for the first report of the implementation of the New Urban Agenda (which are also fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals).

The WSF 2018 will take place in Salvador, Bahia, with seminars, plenary sessions, workshops, cultural activities and conferences. It will have marches and acts through the city. It will mobilize solidarity networks of welcome to participants and also the academic community.

The Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF) is an international network that brings together local governments and civil society stakeholders committed to supporting the development of the Social Economy (SE). The central theme is: Social Economy and Cities: Values and competitiveness for inclusive and sustainable local development.
