Marcus Hill serves as chair for Island CultureZ: a local- and solidarity-based agroecology partnership (LSAP) located in Winston-Salem, NC rooted in solidarity economics. He has been involved in addressing local food issues/opportunities since 2009 and has been involved in a number of food councils at various scales while coordinating Forsyth Foodworks. He’s a board representative on behalf of SEN and Joint-Coordinator of the Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of Social Solidarity Economy (RIPESS). His day job is Recruitment Strategist for the U.S. POINTER national brain health study coordinated Wake Forest Baptist Health and the Alzheimer’s Association.
